I'm working on book two & book three. Book 2 follows Prince Trent of Krelis, and then book 3 follows up with the necia human exchange from the prequel Her Alien Exchange. Kind of like a tradeoff, switching between one side of the galaxy with the other, every other book.
That's where you come in....
Should I separate them?
Two separate series, even though, yes, they are same universe and interconnect with what's happening across the galaxy.
Should the prequel be a separate series like a spin off: Alien Exchange Warriors, or Human Exchange Series? Trillume Alien Warriors?
Human/alien Romances
And have the Jewel of the Alien Bandit be its own series Treasures of Trillume?
Alien/alien romances
Then if I did that: Her Alien Savior (supposed to be book 3, would be book 1 following the prequel)
And Her Alien Prince would still be Book two following Jewel of the Alien Bandit.

Warning ⚠️ this prequel follows the human exchange program and the necia warriors that are from Necias Prime (not the outlaws of Necias Delta Fal) they are a lawful warrior tribal species that enjoys claiming their mates amongst the tribe... Soooo, exhibitionists. Like, look at what I have, no, she's mine, ahaha.
The reason why I'm so torn about separating the books or not is because of the very clear divide of fans. People that LOVED Her Alien Exchange only enjoyed Jewel of the Alien Bandit. And people that LOVED Jewel of the Alien Bandit were not as in love with Her Alien Exchange. Both great books, but two very different expectations/experiences.
As the author I'm too close to the project to think objectively, so I need you!
Please slap me in the tit and say what I need to hear! I really think I should separate them, based on the feedback and meeting expectations/clearly defining what you'll get from each story... but I need assurances either way. Like, a clear No, I think they are fine lumped together, or YES, I think you should separate them.
Let me know!
