Today's Indie Temptations are:
Check out Star-Axe by Edita Petrick, available for only 99 pennies!
Check out Warrior's Mate by Alyce Guertin available in KU!
Guess WHAT! The commissioned artwork came back! And it's available in the author store! I'm so excited to share this with you! This is all available because of everyone's support, and in typical fashion, I took what I made from this book and rolled it back to get artwork, and same goes for being able to provide prints of the artwork!
Without you, it wouldn't be possible.
As an indie, I still haven't actually been paid for my time in bringing my stories to life, but Her Alien Warrior is my first book to finally break even and then I saved up its profit from the next couple of months to pay for art that I can share with all of you! Maybe this beautiful art will get other readers excited, and we can finally start paying for my coffee addiction!
Character art has come in for General Sou-el!
Artwork commissioned by the wonderful Deborah Garcia for Her Alien Warrior! Our very own warrior scientist!
This art is perfect for around page 110 when he gets locked down in his own living quarters with Renee trapped inside with him.
Haven't read Her Alien Warrior? Check it out with Kindle Unlimited here:
https://books.steviemarie.com/heralienwarrior
You can see the NWFW version of the art in my author store! (No, you don't have to purchase to see it, but it is available for grabbing the Vellum insert/artprint)
The NSFW Vellum insert is available in my Author store! I need at least 10 people interested in grabbing a vellum for me to afford to print them off and then send them out! I included options for a glossy artprint or vellum both in Safe for work like the above image, and NSFW with the lab coat open. (at least 10 people needed for variation options to be available. If the minimum isn't reached for any variation then purchases will be refunded, or I will eat the costs to make sure that everyone gets what they want depending on funding.)
The vellum artwork fits perfectly inside your paperback copy of Her Alien Warrior. Haven't grabbed the signed paperback yet? Save on shipping and grab them both together here: https://payhip.com/b/1F8ZW
Already grabbed the signed Her Alien Warrior, grab the vellum separately: https://payhip.com/b/2yQGB, and might as well add another signed paperback from the author store of your book choice, shipping is the same regardless. check out the author store: https://payhip.com/brokenbookspublishing
(disclaimer for readers outside the US, email me directly so we can figure out shipping costs. All vellum deliveries will be sent in a black A8 "invitation" sized envelope. I believe I may get away with using a regular international stamp to send it, but I'd need a test subject to confirm. Let me know if you want to be said test subject, I don't want anyone (including international) to pay more than 5 in shipping, so if we can get away with an international stamp that would be excellent!)
Breaking Fate is in the hands of ARC readers! With being a book two, reviews will probably take more time to come in, but I've seen an uptick in pages read of Taking Medusa in KU, so it looks like people are preparing for launch!

Death will take me, and in its flames I will rise.
In a world of gods and monsters, prophecy and fate sway hearts and minds until a monster rises to rule them all, and darkness rises on Olympus.
"A Medusa who is worthy of admiration." - Amazon Reviewer
The continuation of the award-winning Taking Medusa, Dark Gods Rising Series.
Caught in a deal with the King of the Underworld, Medusa must learn to embrace her power and conquer the darkness in her own mind to protect the dark gods and free herself from the ties that bind her. Reconciling the truth of the past and accepting control over her future, she discovers the strings of fate aren't so easily unraveled. Hades and Poseidon play games with her life, but with the help of new and old allies she pushes to reclaim her destiny for herself. She just didn't expect her heart to play such a vital role in deciding what fate she fights for while the very lives of the deathless gods hang in the balance.
Dive into this slow-burn fantasy adventure with a romance that defies prophecy in this page-turning continuation of Medusa's untold story.

This is the place in my newsletter where you can check up on my word count/progress on any given project. So, if you're excited about something and where I'm at with it, or what's next on the writing agenda, this is the place to check. I don't post this anywhere else but on my newsletter. Not even my website has a progress update zone.
Breaking Fate: off to ARC READERS !!! Breaking Fate (currently available for Pre-order) Waits anxiously for reviews to come in... Eeeeeee! (runs around, into walls, stubs toes, overall mess.)
First Review is in!
"I absolutely love this book! Even though I reallllly strongly dislike cliffhangers, it was still amazing. I did see the twist coming, but I've read ALOT of books, so it's kinda hard to surprise me nowadays. I like this version of Medusa and the Olympians better than other books I've read before. You definitely need to have read book one first. I can not wait to read the last book when it's written. Her writing just keeps you reading long after bedtime. I have loved every book I've read by this author, and I'm so glad I found her books." - 5-star reviewer LaWanda!
Thank you for the kind words! It means a lot!

TKManAteHer is on Amazon and Audible! A short erotic sentient robot romance, to be enjoyed in around an hour. Perfect for a quick escape that won't interrupt your beauty sleep if you start at bedtime!
It is a complete story, no cliffhangers, 2.5 spicy scenes, and a romance that defies time itself.
It's available for 99 pennies on Amazon, or from my author store:
Amazon: https://books.steviemarie.com/tk
Author Store: https://payhip.com/b/XgOuk
Also available on Audible! https://www.audible.com/ac/TKManAteHer-Audiobook/B0D5GC1ZDK
When you grab the book direct, more pennies are kept with the author. For every 99 penny book, an indie makes around 35 cents from Amazon.
Direct, I get around 50 cents depending on if you use Stripe or Paypal as your payment method through my author store. That's 40% more pennies in the author's pocket by grabbing direct!
Dragon's Oath: is the next freebie I'm working on to give to everyone on the newsletter! It's a darker alien dragon romance, but with plenty of humorous banter to help take the dark edge off and of course, lovely spice with plot as usual. This will be a series; I have 3 covers picked up to explore this idea with!
Word Count: 2,379/50K
Goblin's Treasure: is a darker fae romantasy about being abducted into the Goblin Kingdom with Labyrinth feels but older and spicier. So, if you ever rewatched Labyrinth and wished the Goblin King had asked you give yourself to him and he would be your slave vibes, then this one is for all you monster fudgers that would have said, "yes" to the goblins.
Word Count: 14,209/90K goal to complete by November 2024
Her Alien Starbreaker My goal is to have this completed before end of September 2024 for an anthology. Best of all, the personal cover for the book is commissioned by Deborah Garcia! So, this is the first cover I have made from commissioned artwork instead of cover designers! (Note: I make sure all my covers are done by designers that do NOT support A.I., No A.I. is used for my covers, nor my writing. I R hooman.)
This book will first be included in the Anthology along with 7 other spicy out of this world romances for 99 pennies, available for a limited time.
Word Count: 21,684/50K goal
This book will be included in the upcoming anthology Beyond Earth available for pre-order for only 99 pennies and you also get 7 other complete sci-fi romances from awesome indie authors!
Thank you for being part of my author journey,
xoxo
