Hi , welcome back to my author newsletter with alien peens, monsters, magic, and the readers who love them!
I included my monthly subscribers in this email too, I know, the normally monthly email is mid-month, so the next one would normally be April 15th, but I think you'd be sad if you missed this email to get Her Alien Captor's short story for freesies, so I'm making an exception. (Mostly because I have impulse control issues, which means it's difficult for me to wait to send out this email on the monthly newsletter.) Hope you don't mind! Heart your faces!
I'm still working on Her Alien Captor, BUUUUUUTTTTT, I thought, why not give you all the first few chapters that read like a full short story. It isn't their full story, since I'm still writing it, but this preview version stops at a good point where it's like any other short story and you can get excited about continuing their story when I'm finished. I actually considered including this story for the anthology for Hot and Steamy, but ended up choosing Her Alien's Chosen instead.
I think part of me just really wanted to share this story whenever I was finished with it, instead of waiting for my rights to publish to return in August for whatever I choose for Hot and Steamy anthology. So, here's the short story of the beginning of Her Alien Captor.
It's around 15,000 words so you can easily read the book in around an hour or less.
Some of you after reading it may be confused as to why it's called Her Alien Captor, when no one is captive yet... and you'd be correct. This short story ends before the major obstacle between them begins. BIG reveals in the universe happen in Her Alien Captor alongside their romance.
We'll get to know more about the outlaw planet Delta-Fal, the virus that's ravaged the universe, and even cameo references to Vareo from Jewel of the Alien Bandit. This book is a precursor to returning to Vareo's story with Luan.
Yes, all of my books are stand-alone romances, you can read any one of them separately for a complete story, but they all layer onto the overarching universe plot, so the more you read the more you understand and perhaps the more questions too. My goal is to make a book two to Vareo and Luan's story eventually. As long as you support the Trillume Universe, I'll continue writing in it.

Trent is a fun alien MMC with wings, fangs, and horns! I enjoyed writing this book because I resonate with the FMC a lot with how she tends to go with the flow, allowing others to make choices for her, until she decides something is important enough to break out of that cycle and fight for what she wants. It's a great character arc of passivity to strong FMC action.

The short story The Alien's Chosen, is an introduction into an alien bride program of the Trillume Universe. It takes place after the events of the other books in the series and includes an unGor MMC, Axelun, who has lived most of his life on Earth as an ambassador of his planet. He was sent to Earth young, so that he'd absorb the local customs of humans, but he is anything but human and it's jaded his opinion of romance until he meets our troublemaker FMC with a selfless heart, Timber.

It's about a spy warrior protecting his planet by keeping the krelins in check and preventing an invasion from those who stray from the treaty between their planets. He meets a lost human on the hunt for an outlaw only to discover they're after the same thing, and as unworthy as he feels for love, it blossoms in the heat of espionage.
