Storygraph is such an awesome platform for keeping track of stats about my reading and I love it!
Blood Song by Sarina Langer was narrated by me during September! I listened to the previous narrator's work on book one in August, Blood Wisp. You can check out this book here: https://www.amazon.com/Blood-Song-Wisp-Book-ebook/dp/B09Q66P757 Soon to be on Audible with narration by me, probably this month for those who like YA Dark Fantasy with vampire-demon vibes, academy setting, and a sweet FF romance -fade to black- no spice. I enjoyed bringing this one to life! And I'm scheduled to bring book three to audio in January.
I had a LOT of great reads lately. I can't say I was disappointed in any of them, which I'm pleasantly surprised that I only DNF'd 1 book in two months--I don't ever include those in my highlights. And I haven't had a three-star or lower read, so my TBR is on fire lately.
I mostly read things in KU, even when I'm on an ARC team, sometimes I wait until it actually releases and use my KU to give the author pages read.
Leann Belle has fast become one of my favorite authors this year, I discovered her earlier with her dark Cinderella retelling, and then went down the rabbit hole and just gobbled up her whole backlist, and now I'm on her newest series and just finished the ARC Zodiac Monsters. If you don't like dark romances with obvious problematic character traits then don't read these, but she is an expert in character development and the spice is spicing when it hits. Definitely read her trigger warning list if you're uncertain. Check out Leann Belle's Monsters and Mazes and her newest series Zodiac Hybrids here: https://www.amazon.com/Monsters-Mazes-Romance-Labyrinth-Retelling-ebook/dp/B0CV2T3QB8

Finished up Queen of Sherwood from the Daughter of Sherwood series by KC Kingmaker a genderbend Robin Hood Spicy Reverse Harem Retelling and I must say, I really did enjoy this series. It had its dark moments, and the FMC is troubled, but I fell in love with the characters and even when the final book wasn't as spicy/ not as much smutty goodness, the plot was great and I was already invested. The ending was perfect. Was it what I expected? No, but I felt completed and satisfied with it. Check out the Robin Hood retelling by KC Kingmaker and start with Daughter of Sherwood here: https://www.amazon.com/Daughter-Sherwood-Robin-Hood-Merciless-ebook/dp/B0CRB6VCR6
And Ella Blake is magnificent at writing alien romances. If you don't know I write alien romances myself under Sky Robert, so I'm surprised that I've been on such a dark romance kick lately. I'm normally stuffed with alien romances in my TBR queue. I'm excited to continue reading this series by Ella Blake! Adrik's Desire was awesome and I literally consumed in within two sittings, staying up late until 2 am to read only to then wake up to the sound of my phone falling from my hands... I was forced to sleep instead of finishing, and I quickly finished it up the next day. Love the tribal immersion, and that insta-lust connection in alien romances, but more than that I love how it's usually the human mate that saves the day! Love it! Check out Adrik's Desire with the Mitran Warlords Series! https://www.amazon.com/Adriks-Desire-Romance-Warlord-Protectors-ebook/dp/B0D239SM5F
I have to choose between the man I feel I was destined to be with, and the most important person in my life. My head is telling me one thing, but my heart is screaming another, and all at a time when my family needs to stick together more than ever before.
Of Seafoam & Saltwater is available in KU or 99 pennies! And even though the author's bookfunnel page lists the pre-order of book two as 2.99, it's actually 1.99 right now! So, snag your preorder of book two and start reading book 1 of this YA fantasy adventure with the right amount of romance!
5-star reviewer on Amazon:
"This story had great vibes, fun and vibrant but with a little chaos of course, and i could tell the younger version of my self loved every mermaid, under the sea moment. Some little mermaid vibes with her own flare and I was all for it.
World building and character development was high in this story and I loved how easily you could connect to Cari's anxiety or Addys pining love for the princess who's captive by his own father. There's a good amount a turmoil and hope for a life not only Cari will love but will be able to enjoy with her people." - Katie
the author's bookfunnel page has the paperback pricing on the link, but rest assured that the e-book is not 17.99, and you can read it in KU!
The Veiled Heir is a slow-burn fantasy romance with a unique magic system, a strong female lead, and spice. Become immersed in this underwater fantasy with characters you will fall in love with.

Getting too much email? Reply back to this email with "Monthly" in the message and I'll move you over to my once a month letter usually sent out around the 15th of the month.
Please do not click that SPAM button. I'm a small indie author, even 1 single spam complaint out of my small 3,000 sized list of subscribers sends my newsletter OVER the "green" zone of below .01%. Anything over this percentage causes other readers who want to hear from me to potentially not see my emails as it hurts deliverability to their inboxes.
You are on my email list because you opted in either by grabbing my free book, finding me on the interwebs, or by joining a book giveaway geared towards meeting new authors such as myself. If you found yourself here by any other means, you're welcome to unsubscribe at anytime. I do not go around adding emails all willy nilly. I'm a one-person show here, and can't afford to have people on my list that don't want to be here. I follow all guidelines and laws regarding newsletters.
Disclaimer: sometimes my links have affiliate tags associated with them, this in no way influences who I decide to share with you on my newsletter, nor does it impact your experience with discovering new books. If anything, any affiliate links used help authors, including myself, subsidize the costs associated with staying in business. For instance, using a tagged link helps us see whether someone found our books from our own marketing efforts or through some other means, also with Amazon specifically, that puts a couple extra pennies from grabbing one of our books back to the author from the big company. More of your money goes to the author, and your costs remain the same. My affiliate links have regularly covered the cost of maintaining this newsletter. So, if anything, click on a link for my books, and even if you are not buying my book, feel free to go about your usual Amazon shopping to help support my books through stuff you would normally buy anyways. Stick it to "the man" and support indie authors while you do it. This has been a PSA announcement from yours truly. Sky
