Welcome to the smuttier side of romance with alien peens and the readers who love them!
There was a time when I didn't speak up for myself.
In fact, it was easier to defend and speak up for others while ignoring my own goals.
I would speak of my goals as lofty dreams that I may get around to, while people around me encouraged me to pursue things that were more stable, and more likely to succeed.
Writing is a great "hobby" and I needed a job that would support that because I wasn't ever going to be their definition of successful.
I believed those words.
And even to this day, I kid you not-- April Fools was yesterday, not today-- that people in my life that are my "biggest" supporters that make a point of saying how talented I am, have made comments when I'm not around about how "It's great and all, but it isn't a job, it isn't going to help my family put food on the table." I know this, because it's things that are said to my spouse, and my mom, and we talk to each other.like normal life forms.
If I continued to believe those words, we wouldn't be here today. And if I had believed in myself more, and supported myself sooner, I bet they wouldn't be saying those things about me now.
It took being a mom, and thinking to myself... What kind of example am I? What kind of hypocrite am I to ask my daughter to pursue her dreams when I didn't?
I had until my daughter went to school to get my shit together. That's the timeline I gave myself, and I must say that first year, almost two, went to total crap! I didn't write anything, and I was overwhelmed and just trying to rediscover who I was again. But then I got to work.
Alien Romance really isn't traditional, but it's what I like, and it combines many of my favorite things in fiction. It's a healing, cathartic kind of genre. One filled with acceptance, and love and the best kind of emotional therapy for both me as a writer, but also as a reader.
I wrote Her Alien Warrior with the thought in mind of having a woman who, like myself, kept putting off her own happiness for others, and had many moments in her life where she felt "numb" and had thoughts about whether THIS life of going through the motions and wondering if there was more was it for her.
The theme may not resonate with everyone, my younger alien romance readers may not relate as well to this character, but for those of us who wish they'd taken control of their own life and happiness sooner, they may find themselves having all the feels about this romance and Renee's happily ever after with her own alien hunk.
For once in Renee's 46 years of life, she is finally jettisoning off on an alien adventure to discover what she's going to do next, and it just happens to be doing an alien hottie, who will treat her like her dreams matter. The only thing standing in her way, is herself... and well, a meddlesome commander with an agenda of his own.

What are the Bookworms saying about Her Alien Warrior?
"Another alien romance knocked out of the park by Sky Robert." - Beth
"Finally, someone wrote a book for those of us who are in the 50 range!" - Janis
"General Sou-el is a Necia warrior (with some serious Henry Cavil vibes for me)" - Ellie
"I love the flow of Sky's writing, layered with humour and vivid descriptions. She never dragged the story, and the next thing I know, I kept flipping the pages in one sitting." - Pearly
"I have to say that, although I love some good alien smut, this is my first read by this author. I was SO invested from the get go. " - ChristySenpai
"This second book in this series is one I highly recommend reading if you like alien romances like I do." Ramona
"Renee might be my favorite female in this series, she's older, she's got her full grown kids, her body tells the story of her life including baby fat that never melted away and stretchmarks that makes me feel seen. She's imperfectly perfect in the exact way she needs to be." - Ketty

PS: I'm hard at work getting the next book Her Alien Insurgent all wrapped up and ready for MAY! That's right, you read that correctly. That's ONE MONTH AWAY! You won't have to wait long for the next book!!!!! Why? Because technically Her Alien Warrior was a surprise release. What started as simply writing down the basic plotline for later writing... turned into finishing it before I even intended on working on it. So, now you have a couple of books all lined up close together as a result. It doesn't give me much lead time to get you hyped about Her Alien Insurgent, but I'm pretty sure most people who have read Her Alien Prince are pretty excited to have Gaven's story next!
The first 20k words were sent off to Holly for some edits to help mitigate the tight schedule of the launch, so I think we'll still make the deadline and avoid delaying the launch. This time crunch wouldn't have been an issue if I hadn't got distracted with writing and launching a book that I wasn't anticipating...
That's right, it's because of Her Alien Warrior, which I got all carried away with instead of focusing on the book I already had planned for launch. Forgive me.
If you have pre-ordered the book, rest assured I'm doing everything I can to meet the deadline, but it is possible that the launch may be delayed by 30 days.
But as of now, I'm still working towards launching on time for May 7th, but it's possible that the launch might be June 4th. I want the best story for this book, to the point where I literally deleted 40,000 words and started the book over from scratch already. I think the book is coming together much better, and I'm pleased with the direction it's on right now. More updates to come!
Sexy jeweled warrior spy with an alien peen that forms to fit their mate? I think, yes please!
