It's been a while since I last messaged about an available story to read. I have a few different short stories that I have available. And I'm trying to figure out which one to include in the Hot and Steamy's charity anthology.
Choice one: Her Alien's Chosen - Short Story
When Timber secretly registers her best friend in the Intergalactic Delegate Bride Program to pay for life-saving upgrades, a guilty, resourceful streamer must manipulate a televised alien matchmaking spectacle to save Remy’s autonomy before the program or Earth's authorities claim her.
I lied to Remy because I panicked. She needed credits and medical upgrades I couldn’t promise, so I used her tablet to get us both into the Intergalactic Delegate Bride Program—call it a public-service crime. The ship glittered like a nightclub and felt like a trap: blacked-out retinal screens, bracelets that broadcast my pulse to millions, and aliens who smelled like trouble and bedtime stories. I told myself she’d forgive me if the upgrades worked. I didn’t imagine the krelin musk prank, the unGor who made my brain ache, or the way televised votes could turn my friend into bait.
Now I’m hustling through mating rooms, trading diluted pheromones for protection and trying to keep Remy’s choice hers alone. I’ll sell the show what it wants—chaos, spectacle, a little dirt—if it keeps her out of Earth’s grasp. But every shortcut I take tightens the knot: can I get her the medicine and the fresh start without letting the program rewrite who she is?
