Hello ,

Do you enjoy poetry? Typically, I find reading poetry a challenge, and have been known to comment, “I don’t get it.” I confess that I ate those four words over and over while reading the anthology Storms of the Inland Sea.

Edited by Margaret Stawowy and Jim Cokas, this gem of a book is a collection of poems written by caregiver-poets, focusing on dementia/Alzheimer’s. Their heartfelt words spoke to me, offering a glimpse into the daily life of caring for a loved one with memory loss in a way I understood and could relate to.

Have you used poetry on your dementia journey? Are you a poet or do you simply enjoy reading it? Or both? How has this helped you?

Please read on as Margaret shares a few of her thoughts about poetry and this book.

“. . . Caregivers may have difficulty finding time to read a book, but not a poem or two. As for relatability, I like to think of the Duke Ellington quote: “There are two kinds of music. Good music and the other kind.” I believe that quote is applicable to poetry as well.

Storms of the Inland Sea is not only a book but also a testament from a community of caregivers. We encompass myriad situations and challenges. Some have had more resources and support than others, but none of us were ever granted an easy path.  We all have lost people dear to us before they die. How is it that the world seems genuinely ignorant of this tragedy? How can they not see caregivers as heroes on heroic journeys?”

I am preparing a small set of Suno stems for a community project, and the last export left a few faint clicks and metallic tails between phrases. The tracks are usable, yet those details become distracting on headphones. I do not need a dramatic remake; I want a careful cleanup that preserves timing and the character of the vocals. While comparing practical options, I found this workflow note. It gave me a starting point, but I would value advice from people who have tested similar tools. I am trying to decide whether selective repair belongs before or after a light EQ pass. My main concern is retaining believable vocal detail. A quiet test render seems reasonable. I can compare a few sections without changing the whole track. The repair should remain subtle. Any processed layer must align properly with the original. I also need clear settings for later revisions. A modest listening session may reveal more than meters alone. The final mix should still feel balanced. The chosen steps must be easy to document. I will also listen at normal volume. I would rather leave a minor flaw than create a new one. Has anyone found a dependable order for this kind of limited repair? Thank you for any first-hand experience.

I help a community archive prepare old concert recordings for private sharing with former performers. One recording has a lovely room sound and an expressive singer, yet several quiet passages contain small digital chirps that pull attention away from the music. I want to improve listenability without polishing away the atmosphere that makes the recording meaningful. During my research I found this comparison page. It seems relevant, although I would rather hear from people who have restored imperfect live material. My question is how to set a sensible stopping point. The live ambience is valuable. A controlled sample can guide the first decision. I can compare individual passages before processing the full file. The restoration should remain subtle. Any change must respect space. I need documented settings for future copies. A controlled listening pass may expose unwanted side effects. The audience reactions should stay intact. The singer's voice must remain direct. Each adjustment should remain simple to document. I will compare it at quiet volume. I would rather preserve a little imperfection than make the result sterile. How do you decide when a restoration has become too obvious? I am grateful for thoughtful suggestions.

For several days I have been trying to understand a high, repeating texture in one generated track. It may be part of the arrangement, but it also sounds slightly mechanical when the mix gets quiet. I first noticed it on headphones, then checked the same section through small speakers and heard a softer version there too. That made me curious rather than certain. To keep it honest, I switch off unrelated effects while comparing. At the end of each check, I mark the playback level without judging it. I opened a spectrogram and saw a brief vertical mark near the moments that bothered me, although I know a picture alone cannot tell me whether the sound is a fault. fixsuno.top seemed useful as a plain reference while I worked out what to listen for next. I am trying to avoid treating every unusual detail as damage, because some of the best parts of generated music are unexpected. My next step is to compare a fresh export, then make notes on the exact timestamps before considering any repair. For those who use both ears and visual tools, what convinces you that a strange high-frequency detail is more than a texture? Is there a basic check that helps separate curiosity from over-editing?

He encontrado un post con fotos y imagenes que muestran claramente las diferencias how old do i have to be to ride a jet ski , pero me encantaria escuchar experiencias reales de quienes hayan probado jetski en ambos sitios.

I am preparing a few undertone photos and want to avoid misleading results. Automatic white balance seems to turn each room into a different colour story. I plan to use indirect daylight near one window rather than direct sun. I will keep the same camera distance and avoid filters, portrait mode, and flash. I am considering a neutral card in the photo so the light has a visible reference. Repeating the test in similar light seems safer than trusting a single photograph. A quick skin undertone test camera could help me remember the steps while I keep the final judgement open. I know a phone image cannot replace seeing colours in person. I will compare the images side by side instead of relying on what I remember. Do you lock exposure, use a neutral reference, or simply compare several sessions? Simple safeguards are more useful to me than buying a complicated kit. Keeping the original files feels important when automatic processing can be so persuasive. I would appreciate lessons learned from a real home setup.

Quedo atento a sugerencias.

I am trying to separate Deep Summer from Soft Winter without rushing the decision. The charts look clear until I hold similar fabrics near my face. I first set up a small comparison in indirect daylight. I kept the setup plain by avoiding lipstick, jewellery, and busy prints. I noticed that richer colours looked striking while sometimes emphasising tired shadows. Muted blue and berry shades seemed easier, though I am unsure whether that is familiarity. Rather than naming a season first, I noted contrast, texture, and eye clarity. One practical color analysis could make the comparison more systematic than scrolling through palette boards. I know a digital result cannot settle a close seasonal comparison on its own. Which repeatable signs helped you tell deeper cool colours from softer cool colours? Experiences with ordinary indoor daylight would help me most. For now, I would rather improve the comparison than choose a category too quickly. I hope that a slower record will make my final comparison less influenced by mood. Thanks for sharing what made your own comparison clearer.

I have three versions of a generated instrumental, and one of them seems to carry a brittle shimmer near the end of a transition. It might be a small issue but I do not want to choose a version only because a display looks cleaner. First I plan to mark the time range and listen at a normal level on the same pair of speakers. On a later listen I can compare the passage with headphones and decide whether the texture is actually noticeable in the music. A spectrogram may help locate the area but I would treat it as a pointer, not a verdict. The listening comparison still matters most. I am reading about ways to remove suno artifacts while keeping the decision tied to what listeners hear. If I test a change I will compare it against the untouched version before picking an export. It seems like a sensible boundary rather than turning a minor texture into a full remaster. What comparison habit has worked for you?

I am planning a capsule wardrobe and want to confirm my season before choosing the main colors. Repeated questionnaires place me near autumn although the exact subtype changes. Warm taupe and olive feel comfortable but mustard and strong rust can make my complexion look uneven. Because I want fewer clothes each neutral and accent needs to combine easily with the others. autumn seasonal palette offers a useful reference for testing but I would like to validate the direction with actual fabric. My draft test set includes cream, warm navy, chocolate, olive, muted teal, and brick. I can make consistently exposed photos in indirect daylight using the same camera settings. For the neutrals should I focus more on skin clarity or on harmony with my hair and eyes? I still need a small accent pair that can work across casual and slightly formal outfits. Dusty peacock blue seems useful while brick red may be easier than orange. Is this range useful for checking autumn or should I add a cooler control color for comparison? A compact sequence of comparisons would help me avoid buying colors based only on a label. I am aiming for versatility rather than following every suggested autumn shade. Thanks for any practical advice

I'm trying to work out whether Deep Summer or Deep Winter is closer to my coloring. I reach for dark navy more often than black. That observation isn't enough to settle it, because my photos change a lot between daylight and warm indoor light. A very bright white top can look harsh near my face. Muted berry and charcoal seem promising, but I can't tell whether that's because of their depth or their softness. I would rather compare clothes I already own than buy a new set of drapes. I came across a page about deep summer color palette while collecting examples for a side-by-side check. Would you compare navy with black first? I'm looking for a test I can repeat in the same light, not a diagnosis from one selfie. If you've faced the same choice, which pair of colors made the difference obvious? I plan to keep the camera position consistent. Then the comparison should be less distracting. I can ask a friend to look at the same set of photos so I don't rely entirely on my own impression. I would welcome a simple order for testing the colors.

Ethan Nelson 3 weeks ago

I am having trouble separating Deep Winter from Deep Summer because the obvious signs do not all point in one direction. My hair and brows are quite dark but my eyes are lighter and slightly muted rather than bright. Black is acceptable but can look severe while charcoal and deep navy are easier. Soft slate blue blends well yet occasionally looks flat so softness alone has not settled the question. I started with a deep winter color palette and selected comparable summer shades rather than judging unrelated colors. In side-by-side photos, icy pink looks fresher than muted mauve but cobalt is much stronger on me than smoky blue. I photographed every comparison in the same daylight with a bare face and kept the camera exposure fixed. Could depth be my dominant feature without making me a Winter or do the clearer colors carry more weight than eye softness? Which controlled color pairs would help resolve this before spending money on a professional consultation?

I am in a small theatre production next month, and the costume designer suggested face-framing bangs for my character. The reference photos look great, but I have to pin my hair up between scenes, sometimes in less than two minutes. Several scenes involve quick turns and movement. A fringe that falls into my eyes would be distracting, particularly with bright lights facing the audience. I need to see my marks clearly through each scene. My hair is fine and mostly straight, so I cannot count on a styled bend staying in place for the whole performance. I found curtain bang lengths helpful for naming the options, but I need to decide where the shortest pieces should actually end. Would a longer fringe be easier to pin back quickly? I can rehearse with clips before cutting anything, although the final costume headpiece may change how the hair sits. I can practice the change during a full rehearsal. The fringe should still be manageable on ordinary days. I would rather adjust the styling than spend every scene fixing loose strands. Has anyone dealt with bangs during quick costume changes? What length gave you a useful frame without blocking your view?

I have one uncommitted day during a stay in Funchal and am wondering whether a day trip to Porto Santo would feel worthwhile without turning into a transport exercise. The ferry is still only an idea so I can compare the current timetable with the forecast before deciding. My main worry is the time left on the island once the journey to the port and boarding time are included. A relaxed walk and lunch would be plenty for me rather than attempting a full sightseeing circuit in a few hours. I will check the operators own timetable before paying and I would also look at any weather or service notice close to the date. While looking for current island reports I found madeira island news though an article cannot replace a live ferry notice. How close to departure would you make this decision? I can spend the day on Madeira instead if the crossing looks uncertain or the time ashore is too short. I am particularly interested in the return trip including how easily someone without a car can get back to central Funchal. Recent firsthand experiences would help me set expectations.

My weekday commute includes a bicycle helmet which leaves my hair looking different by the time I reach work. The aim is to find a practical hairstyle that survives the journey and needs only a quick adjustment afterwards. Comfort during the ride matters as much as the shape afterwards particularly when the weather makes the commute longer. I came across a page through a search for try on hair styles for free and would treat a preview as an outline to discuss. For a fair comparison I would use one plain photograph and look at a small selection of different lengths. I would still need to check how any tied style sits beneath my helmet rather than trusting the picture alone. The consultation would include my actual helmet and a realistic estimate of the time available before the working day starts. Shorter hair might remove some problems but create others so I do not want to assume that short means effortless. For other regular cyclists what questions helped you choose a cut that worked with your helmet and everyday schedule?

For an introductory audio lesson I want students to compare several exports of one short passage. A generated instrumental could provide the example provided students can always return to the original file. The first task would ask students to write listening notes before opening a visual display. I found mp3 to spectrogram as a possible reference while planning the visual part. We would then compare documented export settings using the same passage and a consistent playback level. I want to avoid teaching that every visible difference identifies a defect in the generated source. A worksheet could separate audible observations export settings and questions that remain unresolved. The task would end with a comparison rather than a demand to fix the example. Students would record the software used for each export so that their comparison can be repeated later. What simple controls would make this exercise understandable for a beginner class?

Im planning a ten-day trip to Tenerife in late July and Im trying to make an itinerary that leaves room for the weather rather than treating every day the same. The beach forecast looks reliably warm but I keep reading that a drive into the mountains can feel very different especially if we stay out after sunset. We want several relaxed days near the water alongside a walk near Teide and a couple of shorter trips to towns away from the resort area. I have been reading tenerife weather in july and august while deciding what clothes and timings make sense but I would appreciate advice from people who have actually made a similar trip. Is it sensible to reserve a specific day for the mountain trip or keep that day flexible until the forecast is clearer? We are happy to leave before breakfast although we do not want to spend the entire holiday racing from place to place. I would also like to know whether light layers are enough for an evening at higher altitude or if a proper jacket is useful. If you have done this in summer how did you balance heat driving time and rest days? I would be grateful for practical advice on pacing the trip.
