Hello,
I love October! Air that's cold enough for a jacket but not yet miserable, Fall colors, pumpkins everywhere, and everything to do with Halloween. My kids have their costumes ready and are counting the days, they love Halloween as much as I do. I even write better in October than in any other month (when I find the time). Something about the excitement in the air. Or maybe just in my head.
I mentioned in my last newsletter that I'd share news about the TTRPG books when I had something concrete. Well...
The Kiynan TTRPG Books Are Live
All four World of Kiynan 5.5E-compatible books are now available on DriveThruRPG in digital format.
The World of Kiynan is the 97-page sourcebook at the core of the line: seven regions, seven new cultures and species, the emotion-based House Magician class, the steampunk-inflected Engineer, and over 40 interior illustrations by Dean Spencer (no AI at all). If you want to play in this world, this is your starting point.
Preemptive Justice (levels 4-6) sends the party to Haven and Castle Malice following prophetic visions of murders not yet committed (think fantasy Minority Report). Investigation-forward, rewards wits over brute force, playable in three to five sessions.
Return to Skywall (levels 6-8) is a relic hunt across five locations, from the Ornland shores to the Starkeeper's Tears archipelago, chasing an artifact that can make a castle fly. Pirates, sea monsters, rogue magicians: the adventure earns its premise.
Clockwork Dawn (levels 8-10) completes the trilogy with an urban investigation in Spire, a desert survival stretch across the Silver Sands, and a canyon assault that leads to recovering a stolen airship. Yes, I said airship!

A Note on Print
The World of Kiynan sourcebook will be also available in print... soon-ish. I don't have a release date yet, but the process is underway. The three adventure books will be digital-only.
It's been a longer road than I anticipated from the Kickstarter-that-wasn't to actual published books. I'm glad they're here.
Writing Update
The Vicissitudes of Varice is officially in progress! The first draft is coming along, and I won't say more than that for now because I'd rather not jinx it, but Edvard and the rest of them are back in motion after a long wait. It feels good to be back in that world.
Cheers,
Eric P. Caillibot
