Our 2026 Ornament Has Arrived!
Each year since 2022, the FTHS has offered a collectible holiday ornament as a fundraiser to offset our winter expenses. (If you missed a year, don't fret; you can collect them all at our website!) Most of the designs have featured an historic township building, but this year's ornament features another kind of icon: A 12-foot-tall fiberglass bull known and beloved by many Franklin Township residents.
Our 2026 ornament features the iconic Wheatley's bull, King.
King was the mascot of Wheatley's Market, a family-owned, locally-supplied grocery and meat market that operated in Wanamaker from 1959 to 1999. In addition to standing as a roadside landmark, the bull could be rented as a yard sign for locals celebrating special occasions. King also appeared in parades, accompanied Franklin Central sports teams to their games, and playfully embodied community spirit wherever he went. Today he is owned by The Auto Center and still makes promotional appearances around the township.
This exclusive ornament features original hand-painted art of King and measures 4" wide. Quantities are limited and we won't restock before next year, so don't miss your chance to grab this for the 2026 holiday season!
Don't want to order online! You can also pick one up in person at one of these upcoming holiday events:
