🐏 Rams, We've Got Some Exciting News!
It's another Wednesday, and there's plenty happening across the Ramily!
Since our first newsletter, we've reached a major milestone in building the Alumni Association, continued shaping our future, and we're just days away from welcoming Rams home for Homecoming.
Whether you're coming back to Harding this Friday or cheering us on from afar, we're glad you're part of this growing community.
Here's what's happening!
🎉 We're Officially a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit!
Our Alumni Association is officially recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization!
And we accomplished this in just over 30 days!
This is a major milestone in establishing an organized, sustainable Alumni Association that can serve generations of Rams and support Harding for years to come.
What does this mean for our Alumni Association?
Tax-deductible donations - Contributions to the Association are now generally eligible for federal charitable tax deductions.
Grant opportunities - We can pursue funding opportunities to support alumni programs, student initiatives, and community partnerships.
Corporate partnerships - We can build relationships with businesses and organizations interested in investing in Harding and its students.
More resources to grow - Nonprofit status opens access to tools, technology, and other resources that can help us operate efficiently.
Most importantly, this gives us a stronger foundation to turn alumni support into meaningful opportunities for our school and community.
We're building something that can last, and we're just getting started.
🐏 Our Mission & Vision: Shaping Our Future
Over the past few weeks, our Founding Task Force has been working to answer two important questions: Why does our Alumni Association exist, and what future are we working toward?
Our Mission
To build a lifelong community of Rams, by uniting alumni to share our pride; preserve our historic legacy; support students; strengthen our community and create opportunities that give back to the place that helped shape us.
Our Vision
A thriving Harding community where our history is honored, our students are empowered, our alumni remain connected, and every generation is inspired to carry the legacy forward.
These statements reflect what we hope to build together: an alumni community that honors where we've been, supports Harding today, and creates opportunities for generations to come.
They'll help guide the programs we develop, the partnerships we pursue, and the ways alumni can get involved.
📣 Save the Date: Alumni Community Meeting - November 7
We want to see you there!
Join us on Saturday, November 7, for our upcoming HUHS Alumni Association Community Meeting.
We'll share more about the progress we've made, what we're building, and how alumni can become part of the Association's next chapter.
We'll also discuss opportunities to serve in leadership positions and on committees as we prepare to transition from our temporary Founding Task Force to a permanent operating structure.
Whether you're interested in volunteering, helping shape programs, serving in leadership, or simply learning more, this meeting is for you.
📅 Saturday, November 7, 2026
Additional meeting details will be shared in our next newsletter.
Mark your calendar and invite another Ram!
🗣️ Share Your Feedback
We're building an Alumni Association for Rams across generations, and your voice matters.
As the Founding Task Force continues its work, we want to better understand what alumni value most, what opportunities you'd like to see, and how you'd like to stay connected.

Your feedback will help inform our priorities, programs, and future membership experience.

🏫 What's Happening at Harding
There's great work happening at Harding today, and we want alumni to stay connected to the people and organizations making a difference for our scholars.
❤️ Community Partners Investing in Harding
A special thank-you to Speaking Spirit Ministries for their continued investment in Harding University High School!
On Monday, October 12, Pastor Chiles and members of Speaking Spirit Ministries visited Harding during lunch to present a generous contribution in support of academic excellence and opportunities for students.
Partnerships like these remind us that supporting our scholars takes a community of people and organizations committed to their success.
We're grateful to Speaking Spirit Ministries for believing in Harding and investing in the next generation of Rams!
🚀 Harding Scholars Explore the Future of STEAM
Harding students recently attended the 7th Annual IAmSTEAMCLT Youth Career Expo, exploring opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics.
Through hands-on activities and career exploration, scholars learned more about educational pathways, training opportunities, and careers that could shape their futures.
From technology and engineering to the arts and sciences, experiences like these help students discover what's possible beyond the classroom.
We love seeing our Rams exploring new opportunities, building connections, and preparing for bright futures!

⌛ We're Building Our Future Together
In just a short time, we've gone from conversations about reconnecting alumni to establishing a legally recognized, tax-exempt organization, bringing Rams together across generations, and developing a shared direction for the future.
There's still plenty of work ahead.
We'll need people willing to lead, volunteer, mentor, share ideas, build partnerships, and support the school we all share.
But that's what makes this exciting.
We have generations of Rams, each with different experiences, talents, and connections. Imagine what we can accomplish when we bring those strengths together.
Thank you for being part of this journey, for staying connected, and for helping us build an Alumni Association that future generations can be proud of.
One Ramily. One Future. 🐏
