Happy Friday!
First off, I'd like to announce the upcoming Water Kanin release that will be hitting KU (and Audible!) on November 18th! You can grab a pre-order copy of it here.
(Yes, this cover still cracks me up. I love it.)
HOWEVER! If you want a free copy of the book today, I'm taking Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) sign-ups now! If you're interested, you can click here to download the book:
NOTE: If you've already signed up for the ARC list, you don't need to sign up again, and you should be getting a link to the book within the hour!
And if you haven't read the first two books yet, Glass Kanin and Loose Kanin, they are still free on KU! However, I want to give you a heads up that the week of book 3's launch, Glass Kanin will be free and Loose Kanin will be marked down to $0.99. So if you don't have KU and don't mind waiting 3 weeks, you'll be able to get all 3 books for less than $5.
Alright, enough of that marketing nonsense.
I've had three interviews in the last two weeks, so that's good! It will be nice to be making money and have health insurance again (#JustAmericanProblems). But a part of me also mourns the loss of my free time; I'm sure my writing productivity will take a hit once I go back into an office fulltime. Still, I intend to take advantage of my free time while I still have it!
For any of you guys in Colorado, I'll be attending two conventions in the November time frame if you want to come by and say hi!
Daku Con: November 14-16th
Colorado Makers Holiday Market: November 29-30th
I'm branching out in 2026 to apply to conventions outside of Colorado, too. I'm especially looking into cons in Utah, New Mexico, and Kansas. I can also do stuff in the Seattle/L.A. area because I have friends and family I could crash with there. And maaaaybe considering cons in Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Wyoming. Who knows! If you have a con near you that you want to see me at, reply and let me know, and I'll look into it! The sooner the better, though, because applications to be on panels and have a booth in artist alley can close up months (or even a year) in advance.
Still working on my short story that I'll release in advance of Water Kanin. Hopefully I'll have that for you in the next newsletter.
That's all I've got for you this time. Have a Happy Halloween, and I'll see you in December :)
