Treating Complicated Grief, Bereavement and Loss
While grieving is a normal response to death and loss, some people experience a severe and debilitating grief. This can be related to previous experiences of loss or the impact of other factors causing depression and anxiety. This workshop will help delegates understand the core processes in grieving and help them support clients through that process - with an emphasis on clients who suffer extended, complicated and debilitating grief.
Different models of the grieving process will be examined and their implications for support and treatment. Recent research into the grieving process and related treatment options will be reviewed.
