Hello Romance Readers,
Good news is Wallflower Gone Rogue is now in the hands of my editor...
Bad news is that I'm a nervous wreck waiting to find out if my attempts to improve my writing by focusing on more descriptive narrative is a success or if I've failed miserably.
One of the things I did while writing Wallflower Gone Rogue which I hadn't in the past was to listen to music. Normally I write in silence so that I can hear my characters. This time, when my characters were on a hiatus, or decided not to show up, instead of bing watching K-drama's I found myself listening to music streamed through Amazon music which shows me the lyrics. (Psst... if you are new subscriber I'll let you in on the secret - I'm a pantser, that is, I don't write an outline and I don't have control over setting or dialogue. My job is to describe what my characters show me and share with me.)
One of the songs, specifically the chorus, that suck with me throughout the writing of Wallflower Gone Rogue was Fallin' All In You by Shawn Mendes (released in 2018) -
Lyrics:
You are bringin' out a different kind of me
There's no safety net that's underneath
I'm free
Fallin' all in you
Fell for men who weren't how they appear
Trapped upon on a tightrope, now we're here
We're free
Lilly definitely brought a different side of Gerald... and while it took me longer to write their story than I had hoped, I really tried to provide readers with a more rounded book.
Wallflower Gone Rogue is on pre-order... still has many rounds of edits to go before it releases on July 30th to make it the best I possibly can.
In the meantime you should check out the books already released in the Revenge of the Wallflowers series... they are all amazing reads.

Here's what the latest five releases are about:
Letters to a Wallflower by Deb Marlowe: They were letters she'd written, but never meant to send. When the entire beau monde reads them, she's ruined. But now she's back and ready to reap some revenge-- until someone starts writing letters to her. If it doesn't stop, all of her plans will be ruined, too.
Wallflower Gone Wild by Cecilia Rene: What choice does a lady have when she is ruined, and shunned by all good society?
The Wallflower Identity by Dawn Brower: A notorious wallflower with a tattered reputation, a rake with a faulty memory, and a scheme doomed to fail.
Dancing with the Gull by Sue London: Miss Penelope Barshaw is known as a shy, sweet girl. The vixens setting their traps for Lord Greer after his unexpected inheritance, however, has plucked her last nerve and she is determined to give them their comeuppance!
A Wallflower's Midsummer Night's Caper by Alina K. Field: As Midsummer Night's magic unfolds and passions rise, will a repentant duke be well and truly punished, or will a vengeful wallflower be caught in her own game?

This month's FREE BOOK is The Study of a Rake by Kathleen Ayers.
The widowed Duke of Averell is trying to be a better man...
But when Marcus spies a young woman, reading the Iliad beneath a tree no less, Marcus forgets all his good intentions. Miss Weatherly is outspoken, intelligent and enamored of the ancient Greeks. When she brazenly offers to show him the constellations later that night, Marcus readily agrees.
Unfortunately, Miss Weatherly is not the woman Marcus has come to Halloway Park to offer for...
The Study of a Rake is a steamy Regency novella and can be read before or after The Theory of Earls.
