Dear ,
There’s something special about seeing 1202 filled with sisters from across generations. Homecoming gave us a wonderful chance to reconnect, meet our newest members, and celebrate the sisterhood that continues to bring us home.
In this month’s update, you’ll meet Jada Jacobson, whose creativity added a personal touch to the weekend, and hear how our Alphas are settling into Sigma life as they look ahead to initiation.
We’re also excited to welcome Campus Culinary Solutions to 1202 and share an early look at our Now and Forever Campaign to care for the kitchen that has served our chapter for more than 50 years. Thank you for staying connected and helping make 1202 a place where sisterhood continues to grow.

Illinois Homecoming 2026 was a wonderful reminder that Once an Illini, Always an Illini! 💙🧡💙
Rheann '29 and Ella '29 with Jan Feaster Kellogg '63. Jan was the 1965 Editor in Chief of the Illio which we have displayed in the formal. | A huge thank-you to everyone who stopped by 1202 to visit Alpha Delta Pi during Homecoming weekend. It was so much fun welcoming familiar faces, reconnecting with old friends, meeting new sisters, and sharing the special feeling that comes with returning to the place where so many of our Alpha Delta Pi memories began. We had a wonderful turnout and could not have asked for a better day to be back on campus. The weather was beautiful, the campus was full of Orange and Blue, and the excitement of Homecoming was everywhere. It was especially meaningful to have our alumnae come back to 1202 and see the house, meet our newest members, and celebrate the sisterhood that connects us across generations. |
Of course, we headed to the stadium hoping for an Illini victory over Purdue. Unfortunately, the final score wasn't what we hoped for, but that certainly didn't take away from a fantastic Homecoming weekend!
Thank you again to everyone who made 1202 a stop on your Homecoming Saturday. Alpha Delta Pi sisterhood lasts a lifetime, and there truly is no better reminder than seeing our sisters come home.
Once an Illini, Always an Illini. Once an Alpha Delta Pi, Always an Alpha Delta Pi. 💙🧡💙
Meet Our Sister: Jada Jacobson
Meet Jada Jacobson, a senior at the University of Illinois studying elementary education with a minor in business, an ESL endorsement, and a trauma-informed microcredential. Jada pledged Alpha Delta Pi in 2023 and currently serves as our director of alumnae engagement. Her creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and love for making personalized items have been a big part of who she is for years.
Long before launching her own business, Jada was dreaming up ways to create something of her own. From starting lemonade stands to planning her next business idea, she always knew she wanted to be an entrepreneur and be part of something bigger than herself. That passion ultimately led her to pursue a minor in business.
At the same time, Jada has always loved school and working with children. Teaching has been a passion of hers for years, while creating custom apparel and accessories has given her another way to bring together her interests in creativity, business, and college life.
Jada began creating custom designs during the pandemic in 2020, starting with personalized T-shirts. Since then, she has taken a leap of faith and launched customsby.jada, where she designs and creates unique apparel and accessories.
Her creativity was on full display during Homecoming 2026, when she created the cutest custom buttons for everyone who stopped by 1202. They were the perfect little Homecoming keepsake and added an extra-special touch to our celebration of “Once an Illini, Always an Illini!” We loved seeing Jada’s talents bring a little extra Alpha Delta Pi spirit to the day.
You can find Jada’s latest creations on Instagram at @customsby.jada. Her current projects include game-day pins and Das Weekend shirts, and she also accepts custom orders for those who want to bring their own ideas to life.
Jada’s journey is a wonderful example of what happens when creativity, determination, and a willingness to take a chance come together. We are so proud to have her as a member of our Alpha Delta Pi sisterhood and excited to watch her continue growing as both an educator and an entrepreneur!
“Thank you for supporting my small business and allowing me to turn something I’ve loved since I was little into something I can share with others!”
Our Alphas Are Finding Their ADPi Home!
Our newest Alphas are officially in the swing of ADPi life, and they are loving every minute of it! Over the past few weeks, they’ve already had the chance to attend several chapter meetings and are getting to know the sisters, traditions, and sisterhood that make Sigma so special.
One of the most anticipated parts of their Alpha experience arrived on October 4: Big/Little reveal! After getting to know potential Bigs through their weekly “Violet Sister Dates,” our Alphas are now building those special connections with their Bigs. 💜
We can’t wait to see the friendships that continue to grow and the special bonds that will become part of their ADPi journey.
Mark your calendars for another very special day: Initiation is November 15! We’ll be celebrating as our Alphas officially become sisters of Alpha Delta Pi. 🦁💙
We are so excited to welcome this wonderful group of women into our Sigma sisterhood and can’t wait to watch them make memories, build friendships, and discover all that ADPi has to offer!
If you’d like to participate in initiation, please reach out to our chapter advisor, Chelsey Dawne, at [email protected].
Their Sigma story is just beginning, and a lifetime of sisterhood awaits!
Welcome, Campus Culinary Solutions!
We are excited to welcome Campus Culinary Solutions as the new food service provider for Alpha Delta Pi at 1202!
Owned by Alexandria Niizuma, Campus Culinary Solutions brings experience, creativity, and a commitment to providing fresh food and excellent service to our chapter. Alexandria and her team currently provide food service for Parkland College as well as several fraternities on the University of Illinois campus, giving them a strong understanding of the college dining experience and the unique needs of Greek organizations.
Our goal in choosing a new food service provider was to find a team that would provide our sisters with fresh, delicious meals while also offering dependable, personal service. Campus Culinary Solutions has been a great fit, and we are excited about the possibilities this new partnership brings to 1202.
Food is such an important part of life at the chapter house—not only providing nourishment for our members, but also creating opportunities for sisters to gather around the table, catch up after a busy day, celebrate special occasions, and simply enjoy time together. We are looking forward to seeing Campus Culinary Solutions become part of the Alpha Delta Pi experience.
Please join us in welcoming Alexandria and the Campus Culinary Solutions team to 1202! We are excited for this new chapter and look forward to many great meals, meaningful conversations, and happy memories around the table.
Now and Forever
For more than 50 years, the kitchen at 1202 has supported meals, celebrations, and the everyday moments that make Sigma feel like home.
Now, its deteriorating floor needs attention sooner than we anticipated. Through the Now and Forever Campaign, we're working toward a $100,000 goal to replace the floor and complete related improvements that will protect this much-loved space for future sisters.
We’ll share more soon about the project and how you can help. For now, we’re reminded of all the generations who have cared for 1202 and the sisters who will someday call it home.
