In 2017 I posted a Sex on the Beach video and over 4 million people have watched it since, and if you go back and look, it's a time capsule: the old set, my questionable editing, and colours so oversaturated the orange juice glows 🤣
Nine years and a lot of videos later, I wanted to revisit it.
First, I remade the original exactly as I did back then: vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice and cranberry. There's nothing wrong with it. It's a perfectly good drink, just not one I would ever reach for.
Then I made the version I'd actually serve you today, the Sex on the Beach 2.0, aka the Agricole Affair. It's barely the same drink. Rhum agricole instead of vodka, no cranberry, fresh juice and a peach syrup, all blended into a frozen cocktail with a Campari float on top (it's delicious).
I tasted them side by side, and it's a fun look at how much has changed, in the drinks and in the videos.

STB Bottle Fund
Some of you will remember "Buy the Backbar" from 2020. It's back, with a fun new approach.
I shortlist 2 or 3 bottles, and put it to a vote. You decide which bottle hits the shelf for upcoming videos. Contributors (aka Pour Partners) get extra weight on their votes, and voting power is retained for future votes. Sound complicated? It's explained in full here.
