There’s been quite a lot happening at The Readerz Corner lately, from Young Readerz going on a summer reading mission to celebrating literacy, marking a special milestone, joining important conversations around literacy, and creating opportunities to learn together.
So, before we turn the page to what’s next, here’s a little look back at some of the moments that have made this season special:
Summer Reading Adventure 2026
Young Readerz On a Mission
This summer, young readers went on a mission - and what an adventure it was!
Through the Summer Reading Adventure 2026, "Young Readerz On a Mission," 43 participants explored books, completed reading activities, shared their creativity, and discovered that reading can be an exciting journey.
From their mission passports to the creative works they produced along the way, every moment reminded us that when children are given the opportunity and encouragement to read, they can go further than we imagine.
A heartfelt thank you to every participant, parent, judge, sponsor, and special guest who helped make the adventure possible.
Together, we are raising lifelong readers.
TRC @2 & Celebrating Literacy
On September 8, we celebrated two years of The Readerz Corner — two years of serving readers, putting books into the hands of people and families, and creating opportunities for people to discover the joy and value of reading.
What started as a space for books has grown into a community centred around reading, learning and helping people build a richer reading life.
Over the past two years, we have shared books, resources, reading experiences and conversations with readers of different ages and backgrounds. Every book sold, every reader reached, every conversation started and every reading experience created has been part of this journey.
And as we celebrate this milestone, we want to say thank you to everyone who has supported The Readerz Corner, bought a book, recommended us, shared our work, participated in our programmes or simply followed along.

Our September 8 celebration also coincided with International Literacy Day, giving us another reason to celebrate something that sits at the heart of what we do literacy.
To mark the occasion, we brought our anniversary and International Literacy Day together through The Readerz Corner International Literacy Day, a first-of-its-kind celebration for us.
It was an opportunity to shine a light on the importance of literacy and reflect on the role reading plays in helping people learn, imagine, grow and connect with the world around them.
Because every reading journey begins with the opportunity to read.
And that is something worth celebrating.

How many books are sitting on your shelf waiting to be read?
In our recent YouTube Live session, we explored why simply having more books isn’t always the answer. We also unpacked 5 common myths that may be keeping your books unread and looked at how having a simple reading system can help you move from collecting books to actually reading them.
