Hey ,
It's a common misconception that my time spent on emailing my newsletter takes time away from writing the next book.
I have been told by a few people that my time is better spent writing my next book rather than emailing a newsletter to people regularly.
Like doing one negates from the other.
Why are you emailing more than once a month?
Why are you emailing people 3 times a week on one newsletter and yet another on your other platform? That's 4 emails a week if someone is on both lists!!!
I will admit part of me wants to remind people that I am an adult... who is perfectly capable of managing my time, and that emailing my newsletter with entertaining things related to alien sexiness and books is a perfectly reasonable thing to want at the end of a long adulting day.
I write this email on my phone as I join on the quest to bring the kiddos to swim lessons, the hub at the wheel... I assure you I am not driving and emailing. And I've already completed my daily conquest of 2,000 words in my next book between my son's therapies and scooting kiddos around.
The reason why I'm telling you this is because if you don't want to hear from me then you're welcome to change over to the monthly list or unsubscribe at any time.
Here's the button to click:
I will check this link until the end of the week and manually move people over to the monthly list if you click it. No skin off my back. If you are reading this email a week AFTER it was sent, then simply email me by replying back... or find a more recent email haha.
But, there are many lovely alien lovers out there that regularly reply to my messages, enjoy my ramblings, and have even emailed to say they would love to hear more from me!
Just opened a fortune cookie from Panda Express that said, "Friends admire your strength." And if you play the game like I do, you add "...in bed." At the end of your fortune cookies. Haha! It's more true now than ever!
I enjoy hearing from people, and I manage my time to both write this newsletter and keep up with my story writing goals. I consider writing this newsletter a fun winding down of my day, and the only thing the newsletter takes away from is the choice to spend my time scrolling through media and socials in an endless attempt at human connection that I gain right here with you and this silly newsletter. If anything, most social media has been super depressing and full of negativity. So, if you want to hang with me, this newsletter is where it's at!
I can't tell you how wonderful it is to share my imagination with other like-minded weirdos and be able to talk about my worlds with someone who's read my books.
It's a fucking delight at the end of a day filled with adulting duties, and probably the only reason why my progeny and husband are still alive right now. My family should be thanking you profusely for being part of my book world. Since I have only ONE friend that likes to read books, and I can't realistically monopolize his time ALL the time.
Trust me, once he comes over we literally talk for hours about books (Usually my own books, because he's nice like that, but yes other books too. Last book was the Johanas Cabal series, I'm listening to book two on audio from the library! He doesn't normally read smutty alien romance, but for me... well, he made the exception! He told me that my book Jewel of the Alien Bandit was as if he went into a bookstore and grabbed a book off a curated shelf and would have never known he was reading a friend's book, that's a high compliment from him on a genre he doesn't normally read. I preened a bit, not going to lie.)
And if you are new here and haven't read your free book Her Alien Exchange then if you like spicy alien knotting peen that's so powerful it knocks a human out in sheer bliss, and alien warriors that like to show off what is theirs to their tribe, then perhaps you should meet the necia tonight. I've been told many have read it in one sitting, you're welcome.
For those of you who have been here longer, and are eagerly awaiting the next book after Jewel of the Alien Bandit, Her Alien Prince is already in process of editing, so get excited and grab a preorder copy to support the Trillume Universe while it's only $1.99! Where you'll meet Trent, and Mabel. The Prince of the Krelis Horde, and a dedicated mating research advisor, who happens to have no qualms about a man with horns, wings, knotting peen, and two hearts that only beat for her.
