Welcome to the smuttier side of romance books with alien peens and the mates that love them.
Getting to know you, this is me and my real-life romance tropes:
This hunk of man is my hubby, and he's super supportive of my alien peen writing, though he will never read any of my books, alien peen or otherwise, he isn't a reader. This was a surprise for me. I always thought the person I would end up with would be a reader and we'd spend time sitting together with our books, but he's a total car guy with no interest in books. He is so mechanically gifted. He's an engineer and kind of a jack of all trades because he figures out how things work, and that is such an attractive thing to just see him tackle things with his solutions and it isn't just that he finds solutions, but he truly makes it a reality better than most "pros" in their field.
We had our house renovated and he was like... you need to redo our door because it isn't plumb, and the pros redid it, only for it to still not be plumb and he redid it himself. He's built his Datsun 510 from the frame up, metal work, fabrication, creating parts, and putting together a whole damned car, from hunk of junk, engine rebuild, to finished paint. Now, he's working on a car I've always wanted since I was in high school, a Datsun Z.

I know this email isn't very Alien peen forward, but I thought it would be nice to do a bit of a getting to know you email today!
Writing books and being an author has ALWAYS been my dream, since I wrote my very first story in elementary school. It wasn't an acceptable profession, and everyone who asked what I wanted to be, or do when I grew up would say, "Oh, that's a nice hobby, what will you do as a career?"
You can't be an author, you have to do something else and do writing in your spare time. Get into business, do accounting.
So, I did.
My inner voice was pushed back for many years, and I didn't write at all, my mind would keep spinning stories and they were left to wither and die before they even started.
Before I met my hubby, I had made myself a promise that I was going to finally write a book. Between all my other commitments, it took me 8 years to finish writing Blood Crescent, and I'll be honest with you, I still want to go back and rewrite this story with the skills I have now. But something happened when I finally held a book in my hands... hope, and determination.
It took me two years to write the next book.
It took me one year to write the next book.
It took me 3 months to write the next one.
It took me 2 months to write the next one.
And through it all I was learning, and getting better.
When my daughter was born, I stopped.
But then when my hormones regulated and I felt like me again, I made a decision to give myself 2 years to really commit and turn my dreams into reality.
I'm going to make being an author my full-time job. Like any small business, it won't be profitable at first. I did go to business school, and I'm not mad at that. I'm mad I didn't try sooner to really commit.
It's never too late to follow your dreams, and one day I'll tell my daughter that it took me a while, but she inspired me to not give up, and even if your dream is a bit odd, like alien peens, that's okay. There's a place for everything. haha.
