Author Updates:

First up and most importantly! Because of the success of Her Alien Delegate, I have decided to reinvest its royalties into updating the cover and adapting the book to paperback and audiobook, instead of using the royalties to pay down my author platform costs. It's my way of thanking all of my readers for their support.

So, you'll get to look forward to an updated prettier cover and it will be updated to print and audio for more ways to enjoy the book, and to have something lovely to add as a shelf trophy! The book cover is a custom cover by Camila with Open World Cover Designs, she does not use AI to make her covers. The new cover of Her Alien Delegate will match the look of the upcoming series of the Intergalactic Alien Bride Program because two of the alien mates from that series are also unGor alien mates, so it was fitting to have them be connected. Also, due to how detailed an unGor design is with their dreadlock tentacle hair, and bone ornaments and tattoos, the design would become quite costly. So, the art will be more focused on the human female with the aliens in shadowy silhouette. I will endeavor to get character artwork done for the unGor as funds allow.

It is the end of January, and after announcing that Jewel of the Alien Bandit, Her Alien Prince, and Her Alien Insurgent will be moved into Kobo Plus, and out of Kindle Unlimited:

There have been around

900 pages read in Jewel of the Alien Bandit

1600 pages read in Her Alien Prince and

700 pages read in Her Alien Insurgent

Which means at least a few readers have decided to read the books in KU before they are available widely to all platforms and removed from exclusivity.

In royalty terms, that's around 16 dollarooos, compared to last month which was 12 dollerooos. So, an uptick in readers for this series before being moved to Kobo Plus.

Remember, as long as you borrow the book, regardless of if it moves to Kobo Plus, if it is in your borrows, you can still read it with your Kindle Unlimited, and the author will still get KU pages read from it. (As long as it is the first time reading through. Pages read do not stack. Meaning if it's your second read through the author does not get royalties for that.

If you love a book, consider grabbing it outside of your subscription to keep it in your book vault. Amazon technically owns your digital copy and can revoke access at any time regardless of if you bought your ebook, but when you grab your books directly from an author, you get your own e-pub file that you can read on any platform and keep for your personal reading whenever you want on whatever reading device you have.

Since the pages read in KU have increased, the books will get to stay in KU for another month, until the end of February. My threshold for moving the books is for them to be under 15 dollaroos a month. If all three books cumulatively have less than 5 dollars a month per book, then they will be moved to Kobo Plus. That is my marker for rotating a book out of KU and into Kobo Plus.

This will be my new stance on all of my book series going forward.

Book makes less than 5 dollaroos a month for two months, transition book to Kobo Plus, and make book available widely, including returning to the author store for direct grabs.

If in a series, the books are considered together, so the 5 dollaroos a month for two months is a cumulative number, 3 books would equal 15 dollars together to move the series.

I will also begin having books that go straight to Kobo Plus as well once I get back into my writing groove. Books I plan on having straight to Kobo Plus are the remake of Kingdom of Acatalec, remake of the Divine Energy Vampire Series, and possibly more. I'll have to think about which series I'll keep wide and which ones will do the rotation method. But, I do plan on doing both because I think it's important to think about the future and work on building my platform to be strong enough to survive even if one of my distribution channels gets cut off for whatever reason.

Also, as a side note: I am well aware that our world is a shitty mess right now. I'm having a very tough time mentally about it. I've cried, and my whole mind has literally had many months and days of struggling to motivate myself to do anything. I'm keeping my feeds political free because I can't handle debating about things. I'm a small indie author with a very small platform that won't really have any effect on other's opinions about things. Just know that I will always support humanity, and the side of honoring life and respecting differences.

That is why alien romances are so appealing to me. Not because I have some dream of being abducted and railed like a breeding horse, but because I love the way mates overcome differences and unite. They truly love and open themselves up to a truly remarkable, out of this world bond that they would defend with their lives.

We are all flawed creatures, and alien is merely another term for someone outside of our comfort zone, and different. I love seeing differences be accepted and coming together to create something beautiful.

That is what I will focus on. Creating unity with sexy alien magical peens and crazy adventures. I look forward to sharing with you my next book I'm working on, and I'll have more to share with you soon!

Her Alien Insurgent is a standalone like the rest, but it is more enjoyable after having read at least one of the books before it like Jewel of the Alien Bandit and Her Alien Prince, which happen in parallel timelines to each other. It's about a spy warrior protecting his planet by keeping the krelins in check and preventing an invasion from those who stray from the treaty between their planets. He meets a lost human on the hunt for an outlaw only to discover they're after the same thing, and as unworthy as he feels for love, it blossoms in the heat of espionage.
