Welcome to the smuttier side of romance with alien bits that vibrate and the mates that love them.
I've heard this time and time again. If someone doesn't hate you, then it stands to reason that the opposite is true. As they say, there is a fine line between love and hate. To have someone that loves you, means there are people who are going to hate you.
That isn't more true than in fiction, I've found.
Because to create something that someone loves, means that I haven't placated in the middle to appease everyone. To appeal to everyone, means to appeal to no one.
I bring this up, because even my own mom falls into this category. She loves me, is proud of what I've accomplished, but she will not read my work because I don't write stuff she enjoys.
To be brutally honest, most of what I write hits on things that make her super uncomfortable. And I believe that's okay, because she isn't who I'm writing for.
She's the kind of person that skips over the naughty bits in romances, and I'm the kind of reader who LOVES all the bits. Give me all the feels. Every vibrating, tingling, heated sensation. I feel liberated to write of all the smut because I grew up in a time where acceptance of myself, and my feels was considered wrong. It really fucked me up mentally for a long time, and it was reading romance with all the smutty goodness that helped me feel normal.
Because I will say this over and over again, do not be ashamed of loving romance, and loving all the bits that come with it. Shaming the kink is what society does to control people, and I, for one, think I am happier and healthier not subjecting myself to the shame that not everyone is into alien smut.
I believe being bi-sexual makes writing dual narrative super fun. I get to play with all the parts! Haha. I even wrote a recent threesome scene for Her Alien Savior that I'm super excited to share when it's ready. (brow wiggle)
And the thing about books is if a plot isn't for you, you don't have to read it. That's the beauty of choice. Readers can choose to read my books or not, but I'm not catering to everyone. Since not everyone is into exhibitionism, not everyone is going to enjoy reading Her Alien Exchange, or even Her Alien Savior which follows fated mates of the necia warriors.
Not everyone is into reverse harems, so when the books on the AsunGor alien lords of the Trillume Galaxy comes out, not everyone is going to be into that scene. (This species is mentioned briefly in Her Alien Exchange, Her Alien Prince and in Her Alien Savior. I assure you they are ... coming. haha)
Just like not everyone is into psychic fated mates connections, or knotting peens, aliens with wings, and horns. Or even political intrigue. Buuuuuut, for the people who are! They are going to love Her Alien Prince!
I guess that's what I'm trying to say, "Not everything is for everyone, but when it is... it's love!"

Just finished reading The Sea Witch: A Little Mermaid Retelling by Rebecca Kenney. If you like the sea witch being a sexy mer-octopus man who was betrayed and isn't quite the bad guy merfolk made him out to be. He starts off with the primary focus being revenge, but there's just something about Averil the youngest daughter of the current sea king. And teaching her to kiss, and experience pleasure not only awakens her own strength, but also cracks open that icy heart of his. Also... if you're into a bit of tentacle fun... this is totally going to be your jam!

There is an age gap, violence, abuse and sexual threat (But this is not by the main love interest), explicit spicy scenes, and a teacher trope but in the bedroom. haha, like let me teach you how to kiss, how to blow, and how to feel yummy kind of teaching. You're welcome. I like how despite how inexperienced Averil is, she is defiant, strong, and the sea witch helps make her stronger, empowers and accepts who she is. This book HAS all the spicy, and I mean all of it. There is so much of it, I could not count the number of encounters these two have on my fingers, I need tentacles and toes, and more to count the times these two do all sorts of things. I'm not mad at it! Super raunch and all the feels. I thought I wrote lots of steam... but Rebecca out did herself and I'm so glad she did!
