I have been looking into artists for doing character sketches.
So, my main question to you is which character do we want art of?
I was thinking a necia warrior like Commander Vox Direl for Her Alien Savior, but I'm also open to it being Luan, or Vareo, or even Commander Roe-el? I'm pretty open as to which character we go with. Do you have any preference, just click that reply button and let me know what character art you want to see. Perhaps a particular scene from one of the books, Her Alien Exchange, Her Alien Prince, Jewel of the Alien Bandit? Whichever you want, I will take all considerations, and the art will be used for stickers, perhaps fun merch for a giveaway at upcoming book fairs!
Yup, I've applied to join a few in person events! I miss the book love of meeting people of my own tribe. Some of you may know that my hubby doesn't read at all, and like him talking about cars, anything I have to say about books just floats through his brain and out the other ear.
And I've got artist envy, so I went ahead and purchased a cheap, but well reviewed, tablet so I can digitize my own art. It will not be as good as a professional artist, but none of them got good overnight, perhaps my obsession will turn into being professional... eventually. haha. Who knows maybe I'll get really good at character art, and since I'm the author, that makes it even closer to bringing the chaos of my mind into reality.
Also, my friend Ketty said her daughter would be willing to do a few funsies character Chibi artwork as well. So, lots of fun stuff on the horizon.
I'm going to admit that I did do a bit of a mistake in setting up Her Alien Savior's release. It was late, and I do so many things all at once that I was like yup that looks good and hit the put this baby on pre-order button before really understanding that I picked AUGUST instead of OCTOBER.
I originally intended to have a bit more time to release this book. Reason being is I wanted all the people who preordered through my author store to receive the book sooner than anyone else. Can I still make the August release date, yes, but it means the people who preordered through my website will not be getting as much of an early read as what I had hoped for.
Plus, I had originally planned for the book to be around 60,000 words to complete its romance, which we are already at the 60k word marker, but... like most things. The best laid plans. The story is bigger, and that means I thought I would already be finished writing the ending, but ended up that the characters were not happy with having another couple do the things meant for another book. Soooo, they are doing the plot things themselves.

"Are Direl and me prisoners?" I finally asked what had been burning on my mind.
"No," Klemon spoke resolutely. "We've already extracted a sample of your marrow, your blood, and tissue samples. You may leave if you don't wish to speed up the process of preventing this war, but you must return directly to Earth if you will not complete your exchange terms."
"And Direl?"
"Unfortunately, your mate would have to be returned to his duties with his tribe, he has no clearance to go to Earth, and he would not survive long with your atmosphere, his cells would degrade as the humans do, making him likely to become infertile and die well before a necia's lifespan should. If he were not your mate, I would have already sent him back to Necias Prime in a stasis pod. You are safe to keep him as a mate under my care, but many do not approve of human mates due to fear we are wrong about the reasons your DNA degrades so quickly. In Trillix tongue, humans are called those who breathe death, and we only send communication holograms to deal directly on the planet."
So, all I needed to do was tell them he was not my mate... and they would release him back to his planet? I was free to return to Earth, but knowing I could do nothing but wait and pray they were successful in preventing a war? Either they were very good at knowing exactly how to manipulate me, or my instinct was right about aliens all along.
