According to my very "scientific" and not a spare of the moment idea at all (says sarcastically), using honor-based clicks in my last email, it was determined that 39% of the people who engage with my newsletter and read my books are MALE.
Based on some other random statistics of 35.7% of the readers being male that means that out of my own readership pool, I have an ABOVE average male engagement, "PROVING" that men also love romance with their science fiction!
I'm going to fully ignore the fact that other gender identities possibly clicked the link meant to gather data about who is male. I did account for my skewed data range from a few females who accidentally clicked the link and let me know that they clicked the link. So, with removing those non male clicks it was 39% of the engagement being male. Making my readership an average pool between genders based on reader statistics.
ALSO adding to my internal proof that alien romances are inclusive and resonate with all genders!
My odd desire to gather useless facts has been satiated for now.
And from one of my male readers, he said it would be useful to have a reader's guide. Something that current readers could direct to for recommending my alien romances. I do have the Trope Guide, but as he said it doesn't really do my books justice.
And like most authors when asked about my books... my brain completely malfunctioned. Error messages erupted and I was like... ummm I have no idea how to accomplish this goal.
I've got trope images, I've got review blurb images, I've got my images from More Books by Me that include a tag line and series explanation. I'm at a loss as to how best to create a different sort of reader's guide?
So, if you have ideas then let me know.
Here's what I have so far to initiate new readers into the fold:
Necia Warrior Series: Exhibitionist Tribal Customs, Blood Play, Strong FMCs, Rut/Heat, Knotting, Fated Mates, Space Vampires, Alien Exchange Program, Grumpy Aliens that Worship their Mates, Fancy Peen, Spicy with Plot, world building that layers with each book read, each romance is standalone, but the more books you read, the more questions about the universe are answered. Mating with a necia warrior bonds their blood with you and results in a prolonged human life with excellent healing abilities.

Treasures of Trillume Series: Same universe as the above, but not focused on the necia warriors, this series has much more political intrigue and heavier plot focus. Each book is a standalone, but again layers as you read and follows different species fated mates. Forbidden love they must fight to keep. Heroes with a troubled past and mates that they choose to be fated to. It's a "fated mates" trope, but it's definitely still a choice for them and struggling between obligations and love.
