It's a rainy Sunday morning here in South Jersey. I'm sending good thoughts to those dealing with nasty weather. We were hit by a nor'easter a few weeks ago. My yard is full of oak trees so we had branches down because of the wind and rain but no damage or flooding at my house inland but the barrier islands (like where Atlantic City and Ocean City are) and the low lying marshy areas flooded.
New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge
If you've read Landing Her Eagle you saw Daphne participate in the New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge. Each year, during the third weekend of October, lighthouse lovers can visit most of the land based lighthouses and some life saving stations up and down the coast of New Jersey - from Sandy Hook overlooking New York Harbor down the Atlantic coast to Cape May at the southern tip of the state along the coastline of the Delaware Bay. Here are some pictures of my favorites:
Cape May Sea Girt East Point
If you want more information on the New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge click on the link and explore. If you go, feel free to share what you enjoyed and any pictures! I'm not doing it this year but hope to do it again soon!
What I'm Working On
I'm 10k words in on my next Paranormal Hockey League novel. I don't have a deadline or preorder for this book, I'm being kind to myself and taking my time so I can enjoy writing. It's so easy to get caught up in the idea that you need to release so many books a year or else readers will forget you. But if you write and release too quickly you're accused of using AI. No matter what you do you're "wrong" so I'm focusing on being happy. That's really all any of us can do. I'll share details about my current WIP and the September 2027 Shifting Pines Series release when I have more information to share. I don't want to jinx anything by blabbing too soon..
Limited Time Availability
Available now until October 30, 2026 is the Hot Ghouls Read anthology I participated in with some of my author besties. This collection of multiple paranormal, shifter, and monster romances will be perfect for Spooky Season. My previously published story, Bigfoot Finds A Bride, is included. It's been unpublished from Amazon so if you want to read it sometime in the next few months it will be as part of Hot Ghouls Read. Once it's done hanging out with its story besties, Bigfoot Finds A Bride will be available widely. I'll share more info in the fall and show off the adorable new cover - I love it!!!! FYI, Finn from Bigfoot Finds A Bride is Chase the flamingo shifter's best friend and co-worker so you could read both stories together for a deeper experience.
Books By My Friends
My Books
If you need to catch up on any of my stories just click the linked covers below. Did you know most of them are available to borrow from the Hoopla library app if your library system offers that? They are also available to borrow through the Kobo Plus and Everand subscription services.
If you've read one of my stories and enjoyed it, please consider leaving a review on your favorite platform and/or suggest it to a reading friend who may be interested. Reviews and word of mouth really help independent authors (like me!) get noticed and reach new readers.
My plans for this rainy Sunday are writing, creating graphics for social media (Do you follow me? I'm Jenny Fenshaw Author on FB and IG, may be smushed together), and watching spooky podcasts on YouTube - I love Two Girls, One Ghost and Ghosteas. What are you doing?
As my mom used to always tell me when I'd go out - bye, love ya, be careful, watch out for deer and wet leaves,
I
